We are young parents, but we’re not necessarily young. Some of us have spent years in the workforce, establishing professional identities and cultivating romances while multitasking our busy lives. No matter how complicated our pre-children lives were, nothing prepared us for the simultaneous tugs of love and frustration that is parenthood. Parenting gives us a new lens to view ourselves; it also gives us a need to write, to share stories from the trenches. 

     Many of us live far away from family and must establish our own communities, both real and virtual, in which to raise our children. We are not alone as parents. We hope Parenting Ink can remind you of that. Together, we can do so much more, feel so much better, for the journey of parenthood cannot be accomplished well alone. For just like the best piece of writing, we as parents are continuously being revised.
